AIDS United – “Make it Grow” Access to Care Fundraising Campaign
Waubansee created the overall concept, branding, campaign name and video for AIDS United’s Make it Grow national fundraising campaign. The virtual campaign was launched to mobilize individuals, corporations and foundations to support AIDS United’s Access to Care (A2C) initiative, a public-private partnership with the Corporation for National and Community Service’s Social Innovation Fund (SIF) and 14 private funders. A2C supports innovative, evidence-based, collaborative programs to connect thousands of low-income and marginalized individuals living with HIV to supportive services and health care. The campaign centered on the video, which directly calls attention to the 1.1 million people living with HIV/AIDS and specifically those who do not have access to quality healthcare. The campaign raised over $4 million.
Waubansee also produced a live action video (below) consisting of case study snapshots of several A2C-funded health care organizations in action; interviews with health care providers and their clients in New York City and North Carolina illustrate the effectiveness of the services. This footage was interwoven with the animated film.
